MOVCA Sales Support Coordinator

CNFA (Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture) is a USAID-funded organization supporting agribusiness economic development in transitional countries. The goal of the F2F project is to generate rapid economic growth in the agricultural sector. As part of project activities, the Farmer-to-Farmer Volunteer Program (F2F) funded by USAID is seeking a qualified individual for the position of sales support coordinator. 

The sales support coordinator will be placed within the Moldova Organic Value Chain Alliance (MOVCA) team and will be responsible for managing the MOVCA members’ online sales platform and offline sales. The sales support coordinator will be reporting to MOVCA Director operationally, and to CNFA Moldova Country Director financially and fiscally. 

The objective of the on-line sales platform is to make it easier for existing and potential consumers to access and purchase certified organic products from MOVCA members. Together with the on-line sales platform, the coordinator will assist MOVCA and its members in improving their presence in the retail market.

The sales support coordinator will be responsible for organizing, monitoring and checking the information uploaded to the on-line sales platform. S/he will also track and update any changes, and will build professional relationships with suppliers and customers.

Position Description

1. Manage retail sales

  • Ensure the existing sales are well supported: maintain an updated client database and stock database, monitor and track the orders’ execution process and products’ stock availability; 
  • Work closely with the communications specialist, design company, MOVCA members and leadership team, including but not limited to developing common (umbrella) packaging, and other activities related to marketingMOVCA members’ products under a common brand. 
  • Supervise the development and implementation of the MOVCA pre-sales products and services for members (e.g., common logo, packaging style, and promotional materials templates);
  • Develop new channels for sales, explore new opportunities to create partnerships with retail networks, communicate and work closely with retail shops/groceries store networks;
  • Manage and coordinate the camper van pop-up shop for MOVCA members’ products;
  • Contribute to MOVCA’s active participation in trade shows, local/international events, exhibitions, festivals;
  • Review sales data and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports in English.

2. Manage online sales 

  • Coordinate web development activities and act as a liaison between the e-commerce consultant and MOVCA management;
  • Evaluate the website design and discuss plans to improve design to optimize sales
  • Ensure the required informational and visual materials are collected and transferred to the web developers in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate the development of a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy;
  • Develop pricing strategies for MOVCA members/sellers to use the online sales platform, after consulting with MOVCA management;
  • Maintain the e-commerce sales and product stock availability database
    • Ensure that sellers products/stocks and other information are updated daily on the website;
    • Monitor and track the online orders;
    • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of online orders and their timely delivery;
    • Update the clients’ database and purchases’ history;
  • Maintain good communication and act as a liaison with all service providers (for example website domain hosting/IT specialist, design company, delivery service providers, printing company, etc.), suppliers, and customers by collecting their feedback;
  • Supervise the development of advertising and promotional campaigns;
  • Organize trainings for the MOVCA members, on platform management, customer communication and customer satisfaction, and on the MOVCA product quality standards.
  • Manage the process of selection of advertising, promotions, and marketing service providers and oversee their activities;
  • Oversee the selection and management of the delivery service provider;
  • Review sales data and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports in English.

Job qualification requirements:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, or related fields;
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience of managing company sales and/or e-commerce platforms;
  • Understanding of marketing and sales fundamentals including product positioning, pricing, market research, and distribution, and sales analysis preferred;
  • Understanding E-Commerce sales metrics and best-practices to ultimately drive sales and profit growth”;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Proven track record of team management and managing numerous parallel activities is a must;
  • Advanced knowledge of social media trends (specific in managing the website, or social media marketing experience will be considered a strong advantage);
  • Excellent command of Romanian and Russian. Intermediate level of English is required for work related communication and reporting;
  • Knowledge of SEO tools;
  • Comfortable in using Google analytics or any other business analytics tool;
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills;
  • Flexibility and strong work ethics.
