  1. JOB DESCRIPTION  
  1. Operational Management 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations at the Community Center, supervising staff, scheduling, and managing resources to meet the needs of project activities. 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Community Center's work plan in line with project objectives and donor requirements. 
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of mental health and psychosocial support services, non-formal education, and recreational activities to community members. 
  • Ensure alignment with Child Protection and Safeguarding standards. Ensure compliance of all staff with organizational policies and legal requirements. 
  • Coordinate with IT support staff to troubleshoot technical issues. 
  • Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of the Community Center. 
  1. Resource Management 
  • Manage the Community Center's budget activities in collaboration with the line manager, ensuring efficient and transparent use of funds in accordance with project guidelines and financial procedures. 
  • Regularly assess the resource needs of the Community Center, human and material, and coordinate with the line manager to guarantee their timely availability and adequacy. 
  • Ensure the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment, and materials for program implementation, following procurement protocols and best practices, in collaboration with the line manager. 
  • Maintain an updated inventory of non-consumable materials and equipment of the Community Center. 
  1. Team Management 
  • Foster a positive work environment characterized by teamwork, professionalism, trust, and respect. 
  • Manage a team of Educators, Teachers and Psychologists, in collaboration with their technical manager when relevant to their specialized tasks. 
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge and collaborate with the line manager to coordinate the partaking of staff in relevant certifications, licenses, workshops, trainings, seminars, etc. 
  • Address conflicts and disagreements among staff members in a timely and constructive manner, facilitating communication to resolve conflicts collaboratively. 
  • Develop ToRs for staff members, setting clear performance expectations and goals aligned with organizational objectives in collaboration with the technical and/or line manager. 
  • Coordinate with the line manager for recruiting, hiring, and training staff members. 
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of staff performance. 
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out appropriately and in a timely manner by all staff. 
  • Establish, coordinate, and conduct regular team meetings on a weekly basis. 
  1. Collaboration and Partnership 
  • Maintain a close relationship with our local partners, in particular the one that hosts our community centre on its premises, to develop complementary activities and strengthen synergies, giving priority to dialogue and open communication 
  • Support our partners' capacity-building in the areas of accountability, MEAL and financial monitoring 
  • Work closely with our partners to identify needs and support during the writing of project proposals if financial opportunities arise 
  • Ensure a close collaboration with Logistic, MEAL, RAF1 and Programme Departments respecting WeWorld policies and procedures at all stage 
  • Collaborate with all WeWorld employees, especially with the colleagues from the 3 Community Centers in the North, to ensure the effectiveness, customization, complementarities and accessibility of activities for all children, adolescents, and rights-holders participating in activities at the Community Center. Gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, and interviews to inform activity planning and develop strategic plans, goals, and objectives in collaboration with the programme department. 
  • Coordinate with the line manager to build partnerships with community stakeholders, international non-governmental organizations, private and public institutions. 
  • Represent the Community Center and WeWorld at meetings, conferences, clusters, working groups, task forces, technical reference groups, and other forums. 
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of participants and contribute to community development initiatives.  
  1. Communication and Outreach 
  • Manage communication and outreach efforts, including managing channels of communication and social media in accordance with WeWorld Social Media Regulations and Guidelines. 
  • Raise awareness on programs, services, and activities offered by the Community Center. 
  • Ensure accurate Donor visibility during activities, in photos and social media posts, and in general throughout the Community Center. 
  • Ensure regular collection of high-quality communication materials such as photos, videos, success stories, etc. by all staff. Periodically organize and upload these materials to designated folders on SharePoint for easy access and retrieval. 
  • Collaborate in developing material to aid in the search of funding opportunities.  
  • Guarantee privacy and consent while coordinating communication and engagement with rights-holders. Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and provide adequate information to minors and their parents/legal guardians. 
  1. Activity Organization and Scheduling 
  • Collaborate with staff members to design and develop engaging and inclusive programs and activities tailored to the diverse needs of current and future participants. 
  • Oversee the planning and timely execution of activities, allocating human and material resources to facilitate their implementation. 
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members as needed for the successful implementation of planned activities. 
  • Ensure that all activities align with and contribute to project goals, objectives, and reach the number of persons targeted by the project. 
  • Ensure the Community Center is utilized optimally and efficiently to maximize its potential to cater to the needs of current and future community members, with a focus on children and adolescents. 
  1. Monitoring and Reporting 
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure effectiveness of activities and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Manage the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism (FCRM) of the Community Center in collaboration with the MEAL Officer and the Gender and Protection team. 
  • Maintain an organized filing system, digital and non, for all programme related documents, ensuring accurate categorization and easy retrieval of information. 
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive information. 
  • Support in collecting data for project evaluations and assessments, including baseline/midline/endline surveys. 
  • Oversee the correct and timely compilation and delivery of the specified monitoring tools and MoVs by all staff. 
  • Contribute to the preparation of donor reports, monitoring reports, progress updates, presentations, and proposals, providing relevant information and data for the activities in the Community Center. 
  1. Other Duties  
  • Perform any other duty requested by the line manager.  

  

The Community Center Coordinator must at all times act in accordance with WW's humanitarian quality management system, including WW's Code of Ethics and Conduct (CoEC), PSEAH, Child safeguarding, Antifraud and Anticorruption Policies, and the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) Standard.  

This Job Description is an integral part of the employment contract and outlines the responsibilities and expectations associated with the position of Community Center Partnership Coordinator at WeWorld Moldova. Both the Organization and the Employee are expected to adhere to the terms and duties described herein.  

   

  1. REQUIRED PROFILE FOR THE POSITION  
  1. Qualifications and Professional Experience   
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community development, social work, sociology, or a related area is often preferred.  
  • Previous experience working in community development, social services, or a related field is required. This may include experience in organizing community events, facilitating group discussions, or working with diverse populations.  
  • IT capacity, knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.  
  • Proficiency in Russian and Romanian and/or Ukrainian.  
  • English knowledge is a mandatory.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships, establish trust, and collaborate with community members and organizations is crucial.  
  • Organizational Skills: This role often involves coordinating events, managing schedules, and overseeing the use of community spaces.  
  • Cultural Competency: Awareness and understanding of cultural differences and the ability to work respectfully with individuals from various cultural backgrounds are important for fostering inclusivity and diversity within the community space, and actively fight discrimination.  
  • Problem-solving abilities.  
  • Knowledge of Community Resources: Familiarity with local resources, services, and support networks.
