Purpose Statement:

Recourse and Consulting Center Ograda Noastra NGO (www.ogradanoastra.org) is recruiting qualified individuals for a position of Communication specialist and facilitator. The position was developed to embrace organization’s aspiration on increasing organization’s efficiency, visibility as well as on maintaining positive interactions with and among stakeholders.

Organization Overview:

Recourse and Consultancy Center  Ograda Noastra is a non-profit organization that implements projects focusing on growing social inclusion, quality education and civic participation in rural areas of Moldova. Most of projects aim at increasing community involvement and participation of disenfranchised rural groups, particularly ethnic minorities, youth and orphans.

Job Description: Assists in coordinating and facilitating Ograda Noastra communication efforts.

·         Serves as liaison between project communities and Ograda team for the purpose of ensuring that accurate information is collected and disseminated;

·         Assists in disseminating info to the media, community members, project stakeholders, and donors as needed and/or as assigned for the purpose of ensuring visibility of the organization’s activities;

·         Writes press-releases, media articles, internal and external reports;

·         Responsible for planning events, meetings, and activities for the purpose of ensuring program activities;

·         Assists in the process of updating info on the organization’s website, Facebook page, and other media channels;

·         Assists in developing informational and promotional materials for outreach activities, creating agendas and activity programs, upon request performing integrated tasks of the above-mentioned job responsibilities.

Other Functions:

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director to ensure effective functioning of the organization.

Job Requirements:

·      Knowledge of Romanian and English languages (write and speak) at a high proficiency level (in addition to the two languages speaking and writing in Russian language will constitute an advantage);

·      Ability to write press-releases and repots;

·      Knowledge in working with documents (word, pdf, excel)

·      Ability to schedule/plan activities, meetings, and/or events.

·      Ability to gather, collate, and/or aggregate data;

·      Ability to facilitate group discussions and analyze situations in order to define issues and draw conclusions;

·      Availability to travel to different partner communities in Moldova (at least 2 trips every month);

·      Flexibility to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups in a wide variety of circumstances;

·      Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team under broad organizational guidelines;

Education

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other field related to the job description. Master degree will constitute an advantage.

Work Experience

Previous jobs in similar positions will constitute an important advantage.
