Peace Dividend Initiative – Field Venture Developer (Moldova)
The Peace Dividend Initiative (PDI) is an international organisation based in Geneva that harnesses market forces to support peace, resilience, and economic inclusion in conflict-affected and divided societies. By connecting entrepreneurs, investors, development partners, and local communities, PDI helps create economic opportunities that foster cooperation, strengthen social cohesion, and contribute to long-term stability.
In Moldova, PDI supports entrepreneurs and local stakeholders through business acceleration, mentorship, investment readiness, and economic dialogue initiatives, with a particular focus on Gagauzia and the Left Bank of the Dniester/Nistru River.
To support the implementation and expansion of its activities, PDI is seeking a dynamic and proactive Field Venture Developer to join its team in Moldova.
Main Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work closely with the Lead Venture Developer and will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and supporting entrepreneurs and startups participating in PDI programmes through regular communication, field visits, follow-up activities, and identification of opportunities, challenges, and support needs;
- Collecting, maintaining, and verifying programme documentation, beneficiary records, monitoring data, and supporting evidence required for reporting and compliance purposes;
- Supporting financial and operational management, including procurement processes, expenditure tracking, budget monitoring, and administrative procedures;
- Coordinating workshops, mentoring sessions, networking events, economic dialogue activities, field visits, and stakeholder meetings;
- Supporting the identification, engagement, and relationship management of entrepreneurs, business support organisations, local authorities, and community stakeholders to strengthen economic cooperation, social cohesion, and peace-positive entrepreneurship;
- Building and maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs, business support organisations, local authorities, community leaders, donors, and other relevant stakeholders;
- Contributing to narrative reports, donor updates, concept notes, partnership proposals, and fundraising materials;
- Supporting the effective implementation of programme activities and ensuring timely delivery of project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in project management, programme implementation, operations, administration, entrepreneurship support, or a related field;
- Experience in financial and administrative management, procurement, and budget monitoring;
- Experience organising events, workshops, trainings, field visits, and stakeholder engagement activities;
- Strong organisational, coordination, communication, and relationship-building skills;
- Strong report-writing, documentation, and analytical skills;
- Excellent command of Romanian, Russian, and English;
- Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Moldova, including Gagauzia and the Left Bank of the Dniester/Nistru River;
- Knowledge of Moldova's business environment and stakeholder landscape is an asset;
- Experience in compliance, risk management, monitoring, or auditing is considered an advantage.
