GIZ - Administrative Assistant



GIZ is looking for an Administrative Assistant for its project “Youth Employment Promotion”, which is financed by the German Government.

This position is expected to start on 01 January 2025. The permanent workplace for this position is in Chisinau.

The core responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include various aspects of office management, support to the project’s financial transactions, general project administration and logistics, as well as other duties and tasks upon the request of the management.

The main tasks of the Administrative Assistant are as follows:

  • internal and external correspondence and communications
  • support to the project’s knowledge and records management
  • organization of meetings and reception of guests
  • procurement of office supplies and maintaining the project’s inventory list
  • preparing and processing invoices, receipts and other documentation for accounting
  • following up on payments to service providers
  • preparing reports
  • assisting in the organization of events
  • arranging accommodation and transfers for project staff and external consultants
  • translation and interpretation

Required qualifications:

  • College Degree or (in)complete University Degree in Foreign Languages, Law, Economics or other;
  • at least 1-2 years of professional experience in a comparable position;
  • good working knowledge of IT technologies (computer, phone, mail, internet) and computer applications (MS Office package);
  • very good written and oral knowledge of English and Romanian, knowledge of German and Russian would be an asset;
  • good organizational skills;
  • customer and service-oriented attitude;
  • reliability, punctuality;
  • willingness to learn and to further widen and deepen his/her individual skills and competencies.
  • Moldovan citizenship or holding permanent resident status in Moldova.
