Job Summary:
As project coordinator, you will manage a project for 12 months. The project aims to provide support and opportunities to people (including children and youth) affected by crises or vulnerabilities to access quality education in a safe and supportive environment, as well as targeting the teachers and caregivers with capacity development activities
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
In close coordination with Caritas Moldova staff and management, provide management, guidance, and technical oversight of education and psychosocial aspects of the project cycle.
Ensure project design, start-up, implementation, and close-out align with Caritas Moldova quality standards, donor guidelines, and the core humanitarian standard.
Lead the development of project MEAL activities’ plan and implementing Caritas Moldova MEAL policy.
Ensure documentation of learning and adaptation within the program.
Share effective practices and lessons learned to support Caritas Moldova’s organizational memory and knowledge management efforts.
Ensure the integration of innovations and best practices.
Work closely with finance and administrative teams to develop and manage budgets for project activities.
Ensure timely and appropriate project expenditures in line with financial plans.
Promote efficient use and stewardship of project material resources.
Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
In line with Caritas Moldova's strategy, contribute to the proactive pursuit of new funding opportunities to ensure the growth of the education sector portfolio.
Serve as the technical lead and writer to ensure that quality reports are submitted to donors in a timely manner and according to donor standards.
Effectively manage talent and supervise the team.
Manage team dynamics and staff well-being.
Provide coaching and complete performance management for direct reports.
Coordinate the work with the Ministry of Education in Moldova as well as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
Required Languages – Romanian, Russian and English fluency (written and verbal) is required, knowledge of Ukrainian is an advantage.
Travel – Up to 30% to the field – within and outside Moldova.

Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
o Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination.
- Preferred Qualifications
o Experience in proposal writing, liaison with educational entities, MEAL, and project management software and tools.
o Two or more years of experience in development, social and/or educational projects.
o Experience in coordinating and motivating teams.
