Senior Community-Based Protection Assistant

Desired Candidate Profile

UNHCR is looking for a Senior Community-Based Protection Assistant, G5 for a temporary appointment until 31 December 2024.

The incumbent will work in close collaboration and coordination with the Community-Based Protection team under the supervision of the Community-based Protection Officer and primarily perform the functions as per the Job Description.

The incumbent must demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, organizational and drafting skills, have experience in community and/or social work. The position requires regular field missions including to the left bank of the river Nistru and working closely with representatives of ethnic minorities; thus, the incumbent should demonstrate flexibility and respect for diversity.

The incumbent must be fluent in English, Russian and Romanian languages in oral and written communication.

Working experience with UN/UNHCR or other international public sector organizations is an added advantage.

Remuneration & Benefits:
A competitive compensation and benefits package is offered. The annual net salary is between MDL 324,405 and MDL 378,470 depending on relevant experience, excluding dependency allowances (if applicable), mandatory medical insurance and pension fund enrollment.
