  1. The Republic of Moldova has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Moldova Higher Education Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the implementation of the Higher Education Improvement Program. The State University of Moldova was awarded a grant under the Higher Education Improvement Program for the implementation of the sub-project Physics practicum: modern equipment and advanced technologies/ ADVANCEDPHYS.

2.      The Moldova State University now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Equipment for laboratory works in General Physics:

         Lot 1 - Equipment for Mechanics Experiments 

         Lot 2 - Equipment for Mоlеculаr Physics аnd Thеrmоdynаmics Experiments

         Lot 3 - Equipment for Еlectricity and Magnеtism Experiments    

         Lot 4 - Equipment for Оptics Experiments 

         Lot 5 - Equipment for Atоmic, Nuclеar Physics and Advancеd Physics Phеnоmеna Experiments 

         No margin of preference will be granted to local manufacturers.

         The required delivery period to Moldova State University will be up to 120 calendar days. 

3.      Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” – Procurement in Investment Project Financing of Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, issued on July 1, 2016, revised on November 1, 2016 and August 1, 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4.      Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Moldova State University, Mr. Alexandru Gherman, e-mail: procurement.wb@usm.md and inspect the bidding document during office hours (09.00 to 17.00) at the address given below.  

5.      The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested Bidders free of charge upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by e-mail in .pdf format and duplicated in MS Word format.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before September 04, 2024, 11.00 a.m. Moldova local time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on September 04, 2024, 11.00 a.m. Moldova local time.

7.      All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.

8.      Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
