America House invites you to a conversation session about democracy in the USA. The guest speaker, Kevin Covert, a senior foreign service officer, will discuss the foundational principles of American democracy, such as individual rights, the rule of law, and the separation of powers.
With over 30 years of experience as a diplomat and development consultant, Kevin Covert will be available to answer questions about his extensive career with the U.S. government.

About the speaker: Kevin Covert is serving as the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, he is here only for two weeks, which means he is temporarily on leave from his position as Director for Eastern European Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, covering Moldova, Ukraine, and Belarus.
Kevin Covert is a Senior Foreign Service Officer who has dedicated his 30-year government career to making the world a better place through diplomacy and development. As Director for Eastern Europe, he is responsible for directing U.S. policy, managing diplomatic relations, and providing strategic guidance on matters related to Moldova, Ukraine, and Belarus.
