II. Organizational context

Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) is a non-profit organization based in Prague that implements development cooperation projects in 15 countries across the world (Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa).

We have been working in Moldova since 2004. Over the years, we implemented 37 development cooperation projects in home and social care, small business development, civil society development, agriculture, lively hoods support and inclusion areas.

From 1st of January 2024, Caritas Czech Republic in Moldova (CCR MD) is starting a new, 3 years program aimed at improving the water and sanitation facilities for the students and school staff of 25 schools in Moldova as well as to increase hygiene awareness for the students, parents, school staff, local authorities, and the surrounding to the selected schools’ population in 25 communities. In this regard, we are looking to hire a Project Assistant.

III. Responsibilities

The project assistant will provide organizational and administrative support for the implementation  of the project.

Tasks and duties of the position:

  • Cooperation and coordination of activities with the project manager;
  • Ensures and facilitates internal communication, including communication with implementing partner organizations, suppliers and representatives of state institutions;
  • Providing assistance in the implementation of daily activities with stakeholders in the field, ensuring compliance with technical quality and standards during project implementation;
  • Providing assistance in reviewing, transmitting and archiving project documents;
  • Elaboration and maintenance of project-specific documents (translation, printing, proofreading and/or formatting of documents; recording and transcription of meeting minutes; drafting simple correspondence messages);
  • Other tasks that are essential for the qualitative implementation of activities.

IV. Required skills

  • Experience as a project assistant (experience in an international NGO is an advantage);
  • Proven commitment to the fundamental principle of human rights, equality and non-discrimination;
  • Experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and information management systems;
  • Communication skills (verbal and written), self-organization, responsibility, punctuality;
  • Pro-active, solution- and result-oriented approach;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English, Romanian, and Russian;
