Project Management Specialist in Creative Industries
The USAID Future Technologies Activity (FTA), implemented by Chemonics International, seeks Project Management Specialist in Creative Industries.
The Future Technologies Activity (FTA) continues USAID’s legacy of sector competitiveness programming, building on lessons learned and adaptions, relationships, and local partner trust achieved by previous programs over the past 15 years. Building on previous successes in facilitating the development of diverse local partners, FTA uses a global market systems framework to continue to build capacity for sustainable, systemic progress while applying best practices to new partners and sectors. FTA co-creates systemic interventions with Moldovan partners to transform selected sectors by integrating new technologies and digitalization, promoting innovation and creativity, incentivizing green and sustainable practices and technologies, and building linkages with global markets. FTA works in the following sectors: light manufacturing, information and communication technology (ICT), engineering, creative industries, and digital media.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Management Specialist in Creative Industries oversees the development, execution, and supervision of Strategic initiatives meant to develop the creative industries ecosystem, including infrastructure, skills development initiatives and local and international promo campaigns. Responsibilities include development, endowment, content support for creative residencies, working with partners in public and private sector (i.e. business associations, NGOs in culture / arts and creative, museums) to develop activities that drive innovation. Additionally, the Project Management Specialist supports the technical lead and project team to ensure efficient project execution through resource planning, budget management, and transparent communication. Duties also include developing project plans, managing budgets, overseeing administrative tasks, and providing comprehensive project support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and supports interventions to achieve expected results as identified by the FTA leadership team and USAID
- Plans and supports the development and implementation of sector strategies with stakeholders and partners
- Supports technical and operations team members to co-design, deploy, oversee, troubleshoot, monitor, and adapt marketing and promo interventions with partners and stakeholders
- Works with relevant business associations and centers of excellence in strengthening their marketing, organizational and technical capacity to increase their visibility, expand their ability to provide services to members, and elevate their capacity to co-design and implement interventions
- Coordinate development, management and implementation of outreach and promotional campaigns
- Help maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and progress reports
- Ensure that all project-related information is accurately recorded and organized for easy reference
- Conduct research on specific project-related topics, analyzing data, and preparing reports or presentations.
- Help gather information to support decision-making processes and contribute to project evaluations.
- Assist in ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards by reviewing documents, conducting quality checks, and assisting in the testing and validation process.
- Assists FTA team members to integrate crosscutting themes into interventions including gender and social inclusion, digitalization, sustainability, green economy, and private sector engagement.
- Coordinates with service providers and consultants to ensure high quality support of industry activities
- Ensures project management of assigned tasks and activities
- Liaises with key stakeholders as required, including donors, host government counterparts, project vendors, and other USAID projects
- Supports engagement and cooperation with external stakeholders that are involved in industry development activities
- Participates in activity level collaboration, learning, and adaptation and contributes to activity reporting and annual planning.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience working in marketing, international promotion, creative industries, or communications
- A. in economics, marketing, communications, business administration or related field
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with various industry stakeholders including the private sector, academia, the Government of Moldova, donors, and others
- Fluency in Romanian and proficiency in English preferred with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience implementing donor-funded programming preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management capabilities
