HR-Consulting on behalf of its client The International Committee of the Red Cross in Moldova is seeking for its operational needs a candidate for the post below:

Economic Security Field Officer (Woman/Man) based in Chisinau. Moldova

PURPOSE
The ICRC Economic Security Field Officer contributes to needs assessment, planning and implementation, then monitoring of the ICRC economic security (EcoSec) programme as defined by the Delegation. The Economic Security Field Officer works under the supervision and guidance of their hierarchical superior.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contributes to analysing the socio-economic, cultural, and political environment as it relates to the ICRC;
• Collects data using methods that are in line with the household economy approach;
• Collects and analyses market price data;
• Designs or adjusts existing data collection tools;
• Enters data into and maintains the survey database;
• Performs mid-level qualitative and quantitative data analysis;
• Contributes to identifying response options based on an analysis of the food consumption/production patterns, living conditions and income support;
• Contributes to designing a good method of beneficiaries’ registration;
• Contributes to developing methods, plans, implementation, logistics and reporting for assistance distribution;
• Contributes to designing and implementing voucher, fair, food and non-food items distributions, and microeconomic initiative program;
• Carries out on-site assistance distributions in the country;
• Contributes to internal reporting at all project cycle management;
• Translates documents for internal use and interprets for Delegates working with her/him;
• Provides administrative support.

CERTIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIRED
• University degree in an economic security relevant domain: Economics, Geography, Rural development, Animal husbandry, Agriculture, sociology or post-secondary school courses or Diploma (at least one-year full time)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the similar fields
• Fluency in oral and written English
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PP etc.)
• Availability and flexibility for frequent field visit in all Moldova
• Autonomy, organizational skills
• Team spirit and ability to adapt and learn
• Ability to communicate and maintain network with local authorities when required.
