Launching the FELT Summer School



The first edition of the  summer school "Volunteers Who Teach English" will be launched on the 20th of August 2012.

The event is hosted by the rural High-school Balauresti, from the village of Balauresti, district of Nisporeni and is organised by the National Association "Continuing Education Center" in partnership with the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, A. Russo Balti State University and Peace Corps Volunteers, English Education Program.

The summer school aims to promote volunteering as a way of professional development for future English language teachers and recognise volunteers' achievements as stipulated by the Law on Volunteering of the Republic of Moldova. Ten students coming from different universities from Moldova will attend this summer school and will teach English to a goup of 28 children from the 5th and the 6th grade from the High-school Balauresti.

The event is organised in the framework of the 5th edition of FELT School, a project implemented due to a grant awarded through Democracy Grants Program of the US Embassy in Chisinau and community contributions, including an in-kind donation from the behalf of  "Rogob" Ltd.
