Base ICT Assistant

Tasks

  • Assist in setup, configuration and maintenance of servers, desktops, mobiles, hardware, systems and applications in accordance with INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols and procedures
  • Assist in-house users on all aspects of IT support. Work as first line Help Desk staffs and ettend to end users requests and problems. Configure and install standard software on new computers and laptops on arrival and coordinate with ICT Officer in the resolution of problems
  • Maintain IT documentation, processes and procedures
  • Implement data security protocols (data saving, firewall, User Access right, backup, security for equipment and software, etc.) to ensure data security, availability, and immediate operational recovery and continuity in case of emergency
  • Support on preparing regular activity reports in accordance with INTERSOS guidelines. Update and archive user and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) related documentation
  • Prepare training materials and provide training to end users on basic computer operations and technology whenever introduces. Provide IT support during training and workshop
  • Perform any other task, specific to his area of specialty, according to the line manager

Requirements

  • Essential secondary education and formal technical training. Certifications in the domain would be an asset
  • Preferably 1 year of proven experience in IT or technical functions
  • Preferably technical English
  • Expertise in latest version of Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365)
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security best practices and IT service management tools (ITSM)
  • Understanding in Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite)
  • Communication skills
