INTERSOS is a humanitarian organization working on the protection of Ukrainian refugee at Palanca, Tudora borders and Chisinau.

All INTERSOS employees are expected to perform their roles and responsibilities according to the INTERSOS charter of values, code of ethics, PSEA and Child Protection policies. The job description is mandatory for all positions within INTERSOS and shall be signed by the employee within the first week of employment.

Purpose/objective of the position:

The medical case manager is responsible for supporting the medical team in organizing referrals for patients under the care of the INTERSOS medical team. She/he will act as a link between the doctor from INTERSOS providing family medicine and secondary health care services (specialist consultation, complementary exams), as well as other services (protection, psychosocial support). Practically this will entail making sure the patients get access to the necessary care by raising awareness on available services (mainly health related), making necessary appointments for the patient (and accompanying them if necessary), following-up on the case, all under the supervision of the doctor in charge of the patient.

Generic Duties:

• Providesupportto INTERSOS medical team by coordinating the practical aspects of medical referrals;
• Assist theteamin coordination with relevant stakeholders, mainly local health care providers;
• Participate in training provided by INTERSOS about Protection, safe identification and referrals,PSEA,MHPSS, CP and GBV;
• Report to hierarchical coordinator in case of any issue, difficulty or need arising from activitiesimplementation;
• Writereportsto hierarchical coordinator according to a coordinated timing;
• Supportinthe development of information materials;
• Map main service providers in the area of intervention and identify and report gaps in theavailabilityof services and quality of service provision;
• Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles including but not limited to: do no harm,non-discrimination,confidentiality, accountability and need-to-know principles;
• Conductanyother duty as requested from the Health Program 

Person Specification:

Education and professional experience:

• UniversityDegree ina field related to social work / case management or health is preferrable;
• Oneyearof professional experience as case manager or in the health sector;
• Previousworkingexperience in the third sector is
