Meet an American: Gender Equity in Education

When we think of gender inequality in education, the barriers to schooling for girls and young women come up first. Historically, women  have been denied access to education or discouraged to embrace a career, climb the corporate ladder or open a business. Yet disparities also exist in other aspects of education, to the detriment of boys and men as well. 

On December 16, at 5 PM come to America House Chisinau to learn more about gender equity. The guest-speaker, Brieanne Beaujolais will  expand on the forms of discrimination and social exclusion, and provide insights on promoting fairness in education and confronting gender stereotypes that limit students' potential.

We invite teachers, young professionals, and Students of 16+ interested in the topic to learn more about gender equity in education and to participate in the discussions.
