BBC Media Action is hiring a Finance and sub-grants officer, Moldova
Job title: Finance and sub-grants officer
Reports to: Project lead / Head of Finance, BBC Media Action
Duration: 12-month fixed term (possibility to continue)
Contract type: Fixed term approx. 15 days per month with the possibility of extension up to 4 years
Location: Chisinau, Moldova
Language requirements: Fluency in English and Romanian required. Russian language skills desirable.

About the role:
BBC Media Action is implementing a four-year programme in Moldova, aiming to foster social cohesion by strengthening the capacity of media and civil society as accountability actors. The project will support CSOs to strengthen community mobilisation, inclusive dialogue, civic engagement and advocacy, and support media organisations to produce more relevant, independent and public-interest content that responds to citizens’ needs.
BBC Media Action is seeking a freelance, part-time Local Finance and Sub-Grants officer, based in Chisinau, to support our work in Moldova with all aspects of sub-awards and local accounting.
This role may involve working with vulnerable children and adults. BBC Media Action operates a zero-tolerance policy concerning all forms of abuse and exploitation of vulnerable people. For the successful candidate, mandatory training will be provided on BBC Media Action’s safeguarding policy and staff code of conduct.
