Peace Corps Moldova PST Administrative Assistant/ Driver

LOCATION: Based in Chișinău, Moldova
CLASSIFICATION: Temporary contracted position for Mid-April-August 2026
COMPENSATION: Daily rate of $34.79 USD

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/ DRIVER
PST ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/DRIVER (AA) This position is responsible for assisting with logistics, documentation, and budget operations. The PST Admin Assistant/Driver works under the supervision of the Training Manager (TM), who oversees all aspects of Pre-Service Training (PST) and in close coordination with the Training Assistant (TA) and the Homestay Coordinator (HFC), on implementation of the designated tasks related to PST. The PST Admin Assistant/Driver also supports the programming teams in site identification, serving as a driver when needed for site visits.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Training Manager:
- Assists with training logistical organization and executes necessary pre-payments as appropriate.
- Prepares contracts for training sites.
- Develops and maintains appropriate filing system for administrative documents and forms.
- Makes financial payments and processes advances and prepares the expenses records and reports as directed.
- Operates the vehicle keeping accurate mileage logs recording and develops schedule for vehicle use.
- In accordance with the Agency’s regulations provides safety and security support to S. Trainees, Volunteers and staff.
- Events may require occasional work in the evenings and on weekends and holidays.
- Serves as a driver for programing teams as they engage in site identification.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: University Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area.;
- Language: Written and spoken Romanian, Russian, and English.
- Driver’s License and recent experience with SUV vehicles.
- Computer literacy: experience with MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
