Extended deadline: Centrul de Drept al Avocatilor is looking for legal counsellor position to support the legal assistance to refugees, beneficiaries of temporary protection and stateless persons in Moldova.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Key areas of accountability

- Assist all persons of concern by ensuring timely, high-quality protection information, counseling, assistance, and representation during the administrative stages of the asylum, and statelessness procedures.

- Conduct individual and family visits, interviews, and counseling to assess the situation of asylum-seekers, refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection, and stateless persons in practice.

- Refer persons of concern to the relevant state authorities for any available assistance and monitor their access to national social, legal, educational, and medical services.

- Provide expertise to relevant state stakeholders

Qualifications and skills required:

Academic Qualifications:

• University degree, preferably in international law or human rights law.
• Lawyer license would be considered an advantage

Experience and knowledge:

• Previous work experience in the area would be considered as advantage
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, use of databases

Competencies:

• Good analytical skills and good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under stress and in crisis situations.
• Cultural and gender awareness.
• Fluency in Romanian, Russian and English languages.
• Driver license.
