Education USA Russia Adviser (Virtual - Located Outside Russia)

Summary:
EducationUSA Russia is seeking to hire an Adviser, who will promote all accredited U.S. higher
education institutions (HEIs) and assist students with their application process. The adviser is
responsible for managing a cohort advising program for Russians applying to undergraduate HEIs
through a full range of activities related to U.S. application preparation, including HEI selection, test
preparation, essay writing, English book discussion groups, community service projects, and overall
preparation for U.S. higher education.


Responsibilities
● Hold individual and group consulting about the US higher education application process at the
undergraduate level
● Oversee and adjust a year-long cohort curriculum of intense, interactive, and effective
programming that will support the cohort attendees to be accepted at the U.S. HEIs
● Organize online events on various web platforms
● Identify and train speakers who will meet with the cohort
● Oversee development of cohort webpages, and CRM automations, and maintain information up
to date
● Maintain communication with students who have been accepted to US HEIs as well as alumni
of the cohort program to help share best practices with current cohorts
● Create the individual and cohort advising content in EducationUSA Russia media channels
(YouTube, etc.)
● Provide individual and cohort advising reports and analytics for management
● Draft budgets and activities reports
● Promote US higher education and programs through virtual and in-person events
(EducationUSA higher education fairs, external international fairs participation)
Qualification
● Extensive knowledge of the US higher education system and its application process
● University degree required (degree from the US preferred but not required)
● Supervisory and training experience
● Public speaking skills
● Experience working with youth and organizing activities for youth
● Fluent in Russian
● Physically located outside Russia (employment within Russia will not be considered)
