Logistics Assistant (Supply) - Chisinau

MISSION
The Logistics Assistant - Supply supports the Logistics Manager in implementing and supervising all logistical activities related to procurement at his / her assigned base.
Starting date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months, renewable
Duty Station: Chisinau
positions
- Management of supplies
- Update price lists and vendor databases
- Control Solidarités International purchase procedures
- Verify and process quote requests and IOFs
- Compose and archive purchase folders
- Implement purchases, monitoring adherence to validation regulations and procedures
- Negotiate prices, deadlines and methods of delivery
- Ensure that relationships with suppliers are monitored
- Management of Stock
- Ensure the maintenance and securing of warehouses
- Carry out stock checks and physical inventories
- Monitoring shipments
- Upon request, support the Logistics Manager in the monitoring of freight and national and international shipments
- Upon request, support the customs clearance procedures and exoneration of importer material
- Human resource management
- Assist in the recruitment process and in evaluating the members of the logistical team
- Establish team schedules in conjunction with the logistics manager
- Ensure or assist with logistical training
- Reporting / communication:
- Support the Logistics Manager in the preparation of the monthly logistics reports his/her base
- Support the Logistics Manager in relations with third parties
- Apply Solidarités International procedures and archiving system for the scope of his/her job
- Take part in meetings relating to logistics aspects
PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE / REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience with NGO/INGOs valued.
- Previous experience in logistics required.
- Availability to work full time (estimated 8am to 6pm) for a minimum of 2 months required.
- Language: Romanian and English required. Ukrainian and Russian are a plus.
