From Ukraine to Moldova: Maria Cerempei’s Journey of Resilience and Success
Maria Cerempei, a refugee from Ukraine, found a new path in Bălți, Moldova. With a background in economics and 14 years of experience in production and sales, she embraced the beauty industry, gaining multiple certifications and business skills here.
In December 2023, she launched Beauty Hub Studio, a space designed for beauty services and creating a supportive community for women. Thanks to an asset replacement grant, from the Swiss Government and Helvetas, Maria expanded her business by acquiring essential lightning equipment and an advanced cash register system, which ensured smooth client transactions, and better financial management.
Maria’s mission is clear: to make quality beauty services accessible while helping women feel confident and cared for. Despite the hardships of displacement, she has turned adversity into success, building a thriving business and a new life in Moldova.
