CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION AGAINST DRUGS
Representatives of the Association €žYouth for the Right to Live", filial from Balti, €žMedical Reforms" and €žTogether we will save the future" from Falesti participated at a seminar entitled €žRomania-Moldova cross-border cooperation for the reduction of drugs consumption" from Iasi, Romania, DECA-press Agency communicates.
A group of electronic communication was created in time of the seminar. The group intends to improve the professional skills of experts who work in the field of reduction of demand of drugs. €žThe relations established with Romania will offer organizations from Moldova access to new opportunities in the field and will facilitate the organization of some programs together", Ala Iatco, adjunct director of the Balti Association €žYouth for the Right to Live" declares.
At the request of DECA-press reporter, the chief doctor of the Narcological Service f Balti, Eduard Nenescu, mentioned that there are 840 drugs consumers recorded in Balti. 21 of them are minors. From the beginning of the current year, 52 new drug consumers have been recorded.
The seminar was organized by the National Romanian Anti-drug Agency, the Regional Service of Iasi. The meeting brought together nearly 30 NGO representatives from Romania and Republic of Moldova.
