Nathan Inc., as prime contractor of the U.S. Agency for International Development-funded project Moldova Institutional and Structural Reforms Activity (MISRA), is seeking Concept Papers from entities to propose initiatives that would support research and/or development and implementation of fintech related products, services, processes etc. Proposals should include sustainability plans after the initial grant funding. Ideas are encouraged that: include private sector coordination with government stakeholders; have a positive impact on citizens and businesses throughout Moldova; and/or that would strengthen inclusion, including marginalized groups and an/or that benefit women in business or women-owned or operated businesses.

Applicants may submit a proposal for a grant award of up to $150,000. Application requirements and review criteria are outlined in the APS.

The Moldova Institutional and Structural Reforms Activity (MISRA) is a five-year project, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), that aims to improve the business, investment, and trade enabling environment in cooperation with the Government of Moldova to respond to an unprecedented economic crisis due to the war in Ukraine, as well as to support Moldova’s economic recovery, including to: advance an economic action plan; strengthen public economic governance institutions; improve transport, logistics, trade, and commerce; and accelerate financial sector reforms and inclusiveness; among other needs. MISRA is also building the capacity of the Government of Moldova to better engage and strategically communicate its economic plan, progress, and results to the private sector, civil society, and the public.
