Overview:

UN Women within the EU funded project “Strengthening gender action in Cahul and Ungheni districts” invites civil society organizations from Moldova to submit proposals for development and implementation of civic local initiatives addressing women’s rights in line with the local strategic objectives of the 24 communities from Cahul and Ungheni districts. The design and implementation of local initiatives will contribute to transforming these localities in Gender champion communities and will engage the local mobilization and participation of women and men enabling them to further advocate for inclusive and gender responsive policies and actions at local level.

Through this Call for Proposal, UN Women intends to sign Partnership Agreements with civil society organizations (Non-Governmental Organizations, Community Based Organizations and Academic Organizations) to act as Responsible Parties for initiatives that will contribute to the the fulfilling of the following outputs, with the respect for leaving no one behind approach and for the principles of planned interventions: 

• To support local initiatives that will promote women in political, economic, and social decision-making areas, including through work with women's groups, youth groups, and others;
• To strengthen citizens' awareness on GEWE.

The proposed intervention size and budget request will have to fall between a minimum indicative amount of USD 215,000 and a maximum amount of USD  223,000. The total budget available for this Call for Proposal is of up to USD 223,000.

The proposals are expected to start from June 03, 2021 and be implemented for a period of maximum 12 months.   The implementation of the Partnership Agreement to be signed under this CFP is expected to be completed before September 30, 2022.
