Science Connects Us | Open House Event



America House Chisinau invites all school students, teachers, and businesses passionate about STEM projects to join the “Science Connects Us” open house event on March 22, from 4 to 6 PM.

Let’s build bridges through science by exploring innovative STEM collaborative projects between youth from the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina.

The Open House will include live demonstrations and hands-on activities using drones, science lab equipment, Python coding and Raspberry Pi technology, as well as short presentations by the students on their collaborative research projects:

  • Climate Change & Clean Energy Solutions
  • Urban Sustainability: Impacts of greenspace and heat islands on urban landscapes
  • Pollution: Impacts of oil spills, light, and greenhouse gas pollution on Moldova
  • Water Quality: How safe is drinking water in Chisinau and Wilmington NC?
  • Future Earth: Using technology and innovation to grow plants on Mars
  • Impacts of “Fast Fashion” on society and the environment
  • Weather science: Using high-altitude balloon technology to measure near-space weather

The Open House will be hosted by Dr. Rob Condon, Founder & Executive Director of Young Scientist Academy (YSA), a proud partner of the NC-Moldova Bilateral Partnership.
