North Carolina - Republic of Moldova STEM Exchange Program
Young Scientist Academy (YSA) and America House invite all teen youth (14-19 yo) interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers to participate in a new and exciting STEM exchange initiative between American and Moldovan students.
In this program, youth from Moldova and NC will gain a working knowledge of the scientific method by completing a wide range of interactive STEM activities and collaborating together on real-world science, technology and engineering research projects. Research themes will address issues and STEM careers that are important for the future success of Moldova and NC where youth reside, such as climate change, space sciences, public health, coding and computer engineering, urban sustainability, and clean energy innovation. Youth will become STEM ambassadors and advocates for change by presenting their research findings and discussing ideas and recommendations with other youth at a joint Youth STEM Summit. These findings will also be presented to the public and stakeholders in an online app developed by the youth.
