U.S.A. Embassy is hiring a Dispatcher



Duties

Working in the Motor Pool unit of the General Services Office (GSO), the Dispatcher coordinates daily as well as advanced assignments for all drivers to schedule transportation for post personnel and official visitors.


Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Two years of professional driving experience in host country, plus one year motor vehicle dispatcher or fleet management experience is required.

Language: 

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge speaking/reading/writing English is required. Good working knowledge speaking/reading/writing Romanian is required. Good Working Knowledge speaking/reading/writing Russian is required.  (This may be tested.)


Job Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of host country traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of host country streets, traffic patterns, and commonly visited locations.


Skills And Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills.
  • Basic keyboard skills and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • Must have local type C driver’s license. Must have had driver’s license for a minimum of two years. (Driving skills may be tested.)

Retirement plan - The main objective of the plan is to provide compensation to locally employed staff in lieu of participation in the Moldovan social security system.

Medical Plan. The plan covers the employee and his/her eligible dependents (spouse and children). Per the terms of the plan, the U.S. Mission reimburses covered medical expenses incurred.
