We are hiring: DRR Technical Coordinator - Chisinau

The DRR Technical Coordinator oversees and coordinates all technical aspects of Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of DRR strategies and activities. This role is also responsible for writing and developing of the DRR strategies, enhancing the capacity of local authorities, communities, and civil society organizations (CSOs) to mitigate and respond to disaster risks, fostering resilience and sustainable development.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevance to DRR field (min 1 year);
  • Experience in DRR coordination (min 1 year);
  • Strategy development and implementation experience;
  • Coordination with local authorities and NGO's
  • Capacity-building for all parties involved in DRR activities;
  • Experience in Climate Change and Climate Change adoptation;
  • English and local language mandatory;
  • Experience in International NGO (min. 1 year);
  • Profesional experiences (min.2 years);
  • Technical Skills (Microsoft Office Software, Sendai framework, DRR methodologies);
  • Bachelor Degree.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • LEAD on the development of the Local DRR strategies and align with the national DRR strategy and the global international standards;
  • Facilitate the integration of DRR activities into broader project objectives and frameworks;
  • Communicate Acted’s Complaints and Response Mechanism to target communities and assist in resolving related complaints in coordination with the AMEU.
  • Develop relationships and alliances with non-governmental partner organizations, government agencies, bilateral and multi-lateral institutions and other international NGOs. 
  • Represent the project in external forums and meetings to advocate for DRR initiatives.

The selection procedure consists of the following steps:
