  1. JOB DESCRIPTION  

 WeWorld Moldova is hiring a PROJECT ASSISTANT with experience. The PROJECT ASSISTANT will be responsible for Project Planning and Monitoring, Administrative Support, Stakeholder engagement, coordination and networking, Documentation and reporting, Other duties. 

MAIN RESPONSABILITES  

  1. Project planning and monitoring 
  • Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, in collaboration with the Project Manager and the other team members. 
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of project activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, to ensure adherence to project goals and objectives. 
  • Support with translation of documents and materials. 
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide inputs on progress and challenges. 
  • Support in collecting data for project evaluations and assessments, including baseline and endline surveys. 
  1. Administrative support 
  • Management of documents and correspondence that are project-related. 
  • Attend project meetings, record accurate and comprehensive minutes, and distribute them in a timely manner. Follow up on action items and decisions made during meetings to ensure implementation. 
  1. Stakeholder engagement, coordination and networking 
  • Liaise with community representatives, government authorities, and partner organizations to facilitate smooth coordination and cooperation in project implementation. 
  • Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and conferences related to project activities, advocating for the needs and rights of rights-holders. 
  • Assist in organizing field visits for project staff. 
  1. Documentation and reporting 
  • Compile and organize project-related documents, reports, and communications for internal and external dissemination, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Assist in the preparation of donor reports, progress updates, and proposals, incorporating inputs from project teams and stakeholders to demonstrate impact and achievements. 

  

  1. Other Duties 
  • Support to the Project Manager for all tasks related to the Project implementation 

  

REQUIRED PROFILE FOR THE POSITION 

  1. Qualifications and Professional Experience  
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. 
  • Previous experience working with refugees and/or vulnerable communities. 
  • Experience in case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community organizing. 
  • Familiarity with the legal frameworks and policies related to temporary protection, asylum seeking. 
  1. Personal Skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. 
  • Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build trust and rapport with children and adults who may have experienced trauma or displacement. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively. 
  • Knowledge of social service resources and referral pathways, and the ability to connect individuals with appropriate support services. 
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to issues of race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, and other aspects of identity. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations. 
  • Proficiency in Russian and Romanian or Ukrainian 
  • English knowledge is considered an asset.
