About CRS/CTWWC

Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. CRS’ relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance and peacebuilding.

Changing the Way We CareSM (CTWWC) is a global initiative, operationalized at global, regional and country levels, to prevent children from entering institutions and to place institutionalized children in safe and nurturing families. The program addresses the substantial harm of institutional care to children’s development, protection, and well-being, and promotes positive outcomes for children through family-based care. CTWWC is funded in part by a Global Development Alliance of USAID and the GHR Foundation.

In Moldova, CTWWC works with a wide range of actors, including government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based actors, and those with lived experience to jointly identify, design and implement programming that prioritizes, promotes, and sustains safe and nurturing family care for children.
