Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
- Responsible for: assessment, vulnerable beneficiary selection, project planning, implementation and monitoring for shelter construction activities
- Collection and analysis shelter data and report to shelter officer
- Generate timely reports (weekly, monthly, and as needed).
Specific responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site assessments in regions/villages to identify needs, resources, shelter types, and data on refugees and vulnerable host communities
- Identify vulnerable families eligible for shelter assistance based on established criteria
- Monitor rehabilitation works by contractors, daily laborers, or repairs by project participants
- Oversee shelter repair activities within agreed timeframes
- Participate in field missions and provide monitoring and technical assistance to beneficiaries
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for shelter beneficiaries at both field and office levels
- Report progress to the Shelter Officer upon successful completion of repair stages
- Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the Shelter Technical Officer.

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- 1 year of working experience with communities
- Basic knowledge of construction/repairing work
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in Romanian, Ukrainian / Russian preferred.
