  1. JOB DESCRIPTION  

The Data Analyst will operate through WeWorld Chisinau office under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager. She/he will guarantee adequate monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the projects implemented in Moldova. She/he will oversee the accountability measures in the project, ensuring compliance with WeWorld standards. 

MAIN RESPONSABILITES  

  • Establish and maintain a project information management system extended to all project partners in accordance with the rules of the donors. Ensure exchange of information and compliance with data quality standards. 
  • Ensure that all projects have: a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, including an Indicator Tracking Matrix, a Post Distribution Monitoring system and the necessary tools for data collection and analysis. 
  • Collaborate with the Project Managers to ensure that the Monitoring and Evaluation systems are adequate for data collection and analysis of each project, capitalization of the experiences is effective, and internal / external sharing of the Monitoring and Evaluation report and lesson learnt is done in a timely and relevant manner. 
  • Guarantees that all information related to the Monitoring and Evaluation system necessary for reporting purposes is available within relevant deadlines. 
  • Guarantees compliance with data protection standards and compliance with entire / external rules and regulations, throughout the project cycle. 
  • Maintain regular contact with the project partners to supervise the quality of the data collection and monitoring activities carried out by the partner, intervening to support the partner staff on Monitoring and Evaluation activities. 
  • Design adequate tools for data collection, including Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) activities in the field. 
  • Carry out data collection, including PDM activities in the field, and provide data analysis and reports. 
  • Support and train the partner on the use of data collection tools if needed. 
  • Develop functional data models for tracking performance measures and indicators. 
  • Make field visits on a regular basis. 
  • Provide technical support to programme teams in data collection, analysis methods, and data management. 
  • Support the implementation of accountability frameworks and feedback mechanisms. 
  • Manage data related to feedback, complaints, and responses, ensuring timely and appropriate actions. 
  • Collaborate with Gender and Protection Team and Project Managers to address accountability issues. 
  • Ensure compliance with Data protection protocols. 
  • Support fundraising efforts by providing data analysis support and insights for proposals. 
  • Perform any other duty requested by the line manager. 

  

  1. REQUIRED PROFILE FOR THE POSITION 
  • Degree in social sciences, humanitarian or international development, computer science, or any relevant field. 
  • Familiarity with data analysis and their visualization, both with ad hoc views and in dashboards, created with Excel, PowerBI and similar. 
  • Familiarity with data protection protocols. 
  • Experience in implementing, monitoring, and evaluation systems. 
  • Experience in team management and/or capacity-building. 
  • Proficiency in data collection (quantitative and qualitative), data management, data analysis, and data reporting. 
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian is desirable. 
  • Experience in establishing and monitoring a Feedback, Complaint, and Response Mechanism is desirable. 
  • Experience of and commitment to working in general humanitarian projects context.

This Job Description is an integral part of the employment contract and outlines the responsibilities and expectations associated with the position of Data Analyst at WeWorld Moldova. Both the Organization and the Employee are expected to adhere to the terms and duties described herein.
