Position / Title: Project Assistant

Time: Full Time 

The Humanitarian Aid Center of the Jewish Community of RM is a crisis response center. At the moment, it provides assistance and support to Jewish displaced persons from Ukraine and other temporarily displaced persons affected by the military conflict. Beneficiaries can apply for financial and other necessary assistance. In particular, the Humanitarian Aid Center (HAC) provides assistance in evacuation from war zones, temporary accommodation and support in Moldova, relocation to other EU and North American countries as well as Canada, repatriation support to Israel, and integration in the Republic of Moldova. HAC collaborates with Jewish, national, and international organizations and partners, helping people in need to find services and assistance.

Job Description

The Project Assistant will support the Project Manager in accomplishing project activities and scope with a focus on the following responsibilities:

  1. Performing general administrative tasks (e.g arrangements for meetings and other events, reservations of conference/board rooms, informing the participants of the date and time of meetings;
  2. Data recording of the project activities;
  3. Support in drafting project reports;
  4. Organize meetings and maintain calendar/schedules;  
  5. Ensure the communication with beneficiaries through the HAC identity channels etc.
  6. Provide support as needed in the preparation of the project’s financial and narrative reports.
  1. Any other duties may be assigned by the Project Manager in administrative project management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with one year of relevant professional experience;    

Experience

  • Relevant experience working with beneficiaries, assistance and counselling, in the NGO sector 
  • Experience in working with international institutions and NGOs is considered an asset.
  • Experience in basic administrative office management;

Hard Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and communication tools (proficiency in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint);

Languages

Fluency in oral and written: Russian, English and Romanian is required.
