IREX implements in Moldova two projects, Russian-Language Television Content Fund and Strengthening Content Connections, funded by the US State Department to bolster Moldova’s information space by supporting the production and broadcast of high-quality Romanian and Russian – language TV productions.
The projects support the diversification of the television entertainment programming by sustaining the locally produced television series and Moldovan talents meeting audiences needs and preferences.
The Partnership Coordinator will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for fulfilling the daily implementation of the projects. The candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of designing and implementing efficient outreach strategies, building and maintaining relationships with selected project partners, guide and fulfilling of larger sized production and in-kind subgrants, developing periodic reports on the project’s achievements and lessons learned, conducting monitoring and evaluation activities, communicating with staff in DC and Moldova and ensuring compliance with donor’s and IREX’ requirements.
Your Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Social Sciences, Economics or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with international non-governmental organizations, preferably on projects that receive USG or other international funding.
- Knowledge of the Moldovan TV media landscape and creative industry.
- Experience with international donor-funded development projects, particularly in Moldova.
- Experience with video and/or TV production preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility.
- Ability to travel within Moldova.
- Fluency in Romanian, English, and Russian languages.
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Moldova.
Your Daily Tasks
- Support the design of projects’ grants opportunities, focusing both on providing the local audiences with quality TV content and professional strengthening of the local creative industry.
- Design and implement project outreach activities to identify potential project partners.
- Set-up and maintain viable partnerships with selected project partners.
- Fulfill and track subgrant production deliverables and ensure timely reporting.
- Fulfill and track in-kind subgrants deliverable and ensure timely reporting on airing of licensed content.
- Fulfill and guide the local project monthly and annual reporting efforts by collecting necessary data and information from project stakeholders and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with donor & IREX’ requirements, policies, and regulations.
- Support implementation of the M&E framework of the project.
- Support efforts in project planning, budgeting, and administrative issues.
- Collaborate with teams in the region and at IREX DC.
- Other duties as assigned.

This position is eligible for Telework. The eligible employee is a full-time Moldova-based staff who works from a worksite outside the Moldova office for one or more days a week.
