The Opportunity

Plan International started operating in Moldova in March 2022 to support the Government, the UN and humanitarian partners in responding to the arrival of refugees from Ukraine.  Over 500,000 refugees have crossed into Moldova from Ukraine since the start of the conflict and around 100,000 have remained. Plan International Moldova works exclusively through local civil society partners to support vulnerable children, young people, and their families to cope with the impact of the current humanitarian crisis and to increase their resilience.

The role of HR Coordinator is to ensure effective and efficient management of HR related activities for the Plan Moldova team. The role ensures that all People and Culture (HR) processes, procedures, and practices are in line with Plan International policies and best practices. 

The Individual will have to-

  • Manage all People and Culture related matters with support from the Ukraine Hub People & Culture Manager, including ensuring staff understanding and compliance with the Staff and HR manuals.
  • Supports recruitment and selection processes for the Plan Moldova
  • Plans and delivers induction for new staff to enable them to settle faster and easily.
  • Develop and implement a capacity-building plan for all staff on key organizational policies, processes, and procedures
  • Maintains up-to-date organization charts, job descriptions and employee records
  • Ensures adherence to Plan policy and practices that are consistent with global policy and compliant with local statutory and legislative requirements that prevent organizational conflicts.
  • Support managers and staff in implementing the Plan International performance management process.
  • Facilitate activities that would motivate and support the retention of staff to retain the best staff.
