Social Worker

Starting date: 01.09.2023 

6 months contract renewable possibility.                        

Based in Chisinau with professional trips around Moldova.
Female/Male candidate considered.

Médecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian organization.

It’s mission is to provide medical care and psycho-social support for the most vulnerable populations.

Job objective:

The Social Worker will work as a link between the organization and the community. He/She will be responsible for community mobilization and awareness on mental health.

Main tasks:

• Implement and document community health activities as planned.
• Provide community mobilization and sensitization sessions.
• Organize regular meetings with community representatives.
• Submit weekly activity report.
• Attend on-job training on mental health and community mobilization.
• Respect and promote MdM policy and code of conduct.

 Preferrable qualifications and skills:

• Diploma in social science and/or other relevant field
• 2 years experience in similar environment would be appreciated.
• Team spirit, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate ethical and professional practice
• Good knowledge of English language, both writing and speaking, appreciated.
• Willingness to stay in the areas of intervention within the Regions, as needed during the week.
