People in Need Moldova is hiring a Protection Programme Assistant

Background
People in Need (PIN) has been working in Moldova since 2003, providing development support to the local population in three focus areas: agriculture and economy, social protection and inclusion, and civil society empowerment and engagement. Since the conflict in Ukraine escalated in February and brought the consequent displacement into neighbouring countries, PIN started providing humanitarian assistance focusing on protection and cash transfers to host population. PIN has been implementing large scale multipurpose cash intervention reaching up to 40,000 people prior to the refugee influx and is now scaling up to extend the support to vulnerable families hosting refugees. Protection assistance focuses on psycho-social support for refugees and hosting population and support local civil society organisations who are working with refugees.
Position overview:
Working under the supervision of Protection Programme Manager, the Protection Programme Assistant will support protection programming of the Ukraine refugee crisis in Moldova, cooperation with other departments including other projects and programs with Emergency Response Department and Programmes Department of PIN Moldova.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support with administrative aspects of the programming, under supervision of Protection Programme Manager, putting together and following up with procurement requests, filing of relevant documentation in ELO - all project specific files/contracts, associated to technical specifications related to the nature of the project activities
- Perform regular field visits, and put together field reports from each field visit timely
- Support with any protection specific reporting requirements, drafting letters and briefs
- Participate in organization of various events and activities within the protection programme, including participation in needs assessments, and collaboration with other departments on research and assessment projects working closely with the Protection PM
- Support referrals and referral mapping, working with other programmes, particularly, but not limited to, EiE and child protection, and other programmes within emergency response in Moldova

· Higher education · Internship and/or relevant experience with international organization or national civil society organizations · Experience working with diverse groups of people; good awareness of different cultures · Excellent communication skills, written and verbal · Excellent command of English, Russian and Romanian · Willing to travel across Moldova |
Other:
Duty Station: Chisinau, with periodical travel to other project destinations throughout Moldova
