EXTENDED: IMH is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER

IMH is looking for an experienced Project Manager based in Moldova who will be involved part-time (50%) in the project and will contribute to leading, managing, and monitoring the project activities. The Project Manager will be required to work in proactive cooperation with the IMH team, donors, partnering organizations. Working space will be provided.

Requirements for candidates

  1. Non-political partisanship (candidates cannot be members/activists of political parties / socio-political movements); 
  2. Non-affiliation with media outlets/channels, of any kind. 
  3. University degree or higher in relevant fields such as finance, law, economy, accounting etc.;
  4. Communication and interaction skills with various social actors (NGOs, media, donors etc.) will be an advantage;
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team, in a dynamic environment and in limited time; 
  6. Fluent in Romanian and English language. Knowledge of Russian will be an advantage; 
  7. Using office computers and software (MS Office - Word, Excel, Internet & e-mail etc.) at advanced level is a mandatory skill; 
  8. At least 5 years of working experience in the design, management, and implementation of development projects and/or working in a relevant position to this post.
  9. Advanced experience in managing complex projects on the ground, including demonstrated capacity to manage a wide range of national and sub-national stakeholders;
  10. Previous experience in development assistance or related work for a donor organization, governmental institutions, NGO, or private sector / consulting firm is a very strong advantage.
  11. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems;
  12. Constant access to computer and Internet; 
  13. Responsibility and punctuality; 
  14. Professional integrity and discretion.

General responsibilities

  1. Contribute to managing activities with the IMH President;
  2. Communicate and report to partners and donors;
  3. Oversee and track IMH activities (contracts, media, clients, budgets, reporting)
  4. Conduct a continuous and final evaluation of IMH’ activities, in liaison with IMH President;
  5. Transfer payment requests to donors for ongoing agreements;
  6. Provide quarterly financial and narrative reports to IMH management;
  7. Manage and report procurement activities;

Candidates will submit the application which will contain the following documents:

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume;

2. Motivational letter;

3. References;

4. Financial offer.

The consultant will be recruited under a consultancy contract for 6 months, with a tentative start date on 1st of August 2021. Contract extension and transfer to full-time possible.

Deadline for submission of applications: July 30, 2021, 00:00 local time. 

The evaluation of the files will be performed in 2 stages:

(1) at the first stage, will be analyzed the level of compliance of the applications with the requirements stipulated above based on the CV and other relevant materials; 

(2) the second stage will consist of interviewing the pre-selected persons. For the second stage, only the pre-selected candidates will be contacted. IMH encourages early applications and reserves the right to conduct interviews with potential candidates before the expiration of the term of the job advertisement. The results of the recruitment competition will be communicated only to those candidates who have been selected for the interview.
