For the attention of local youth institutions and municipal youth services of Moldova — participation in the Europe Goes Local program has started!

Europe Goes Local invites you to join the program to strengthen youth work at the local level. Selected participants will have the opportunity to work with mentors throughout the year and develop the direction of youth work in the local environment.

The program is open to:
Social workers working in youth centers, schools, formal or informal associations, rural and urban areas; as well as individuals working with various vulnerable groups;
Are employed in the youth field at the self-government level
Are ready to participate in all stages of the program in 2026
Have motivation and vision for the development of youth work
Have ideas for implementing the necessary changes in their region

What will you get by participating in the EGL program?
You will develop or refine a personal plan to improve youth work;
Participate in various study visits, both within and outside the country;
Work with European mentors and EGL network members
Develop youth policy at the local level, introduce young people to Erasmus+ and ESC opportunities

The program includes the following steps:
January 2026 – Selection of participants;
February 2026 – For the purpose of getting to know each other, participants will meet online with experts involved in the project.
March 23–29, 2026 – Study visit to Finland - Participants will visit Finnish municipalities and organizations and work on developing their own plan.
March–June 2026 – Two-day training - Participants will meet with local mentors for training and consultation.
End of June, 2026 – Mid-term evaluation in the Balkans - Mentors and participants will participate together in an international meeting
Autumn 2026 – Local Work Phase - Participants will work with local mentors on strategic plans for youth work in their region.
December 2026 – Closing Event - Participants will summarize the past year in a one-day session and participate in the award ceremony.

The program is free to participate and all expenses are covered by the organizers!

In order to participate in the program, it is necessary:
Fill out the application - deadline January 9;
Clearly answer the questions about the youth work of the municipality;
Describe your motivation and plans well
Share the values of European youth work;
Have support from the municipal service - for Magliti, if you are filling out the application on behalf of the school, a letter of support from the school principal.
