Call for applications for the provision of services for the development of a Visual Identity and Brand Book
Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality is seeking a company to develop the branding and visual identity. The services within the assignment will be provided in the period between February 2024 – March 2024. The selected company will conduct all the activities in accordance with the provisions of the Terms of Reference (ToR).

Development of Branding and Visual Identity
for Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality
Background:
Founded in 2021, the Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality emerged as a collaborative effort among six prominent organizations, each representing vital LGBT+ initiatives in Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Russia, and Georgia. Our overarching project goal is to safeguard the security, fortify resilience, and foster sustainable development within local LGBT+ communities, while simultaneously fostering bridges of solidarity both within the Eastern European region and on the international stage.
Establishing a unique visual identity is pivotal for the Coalition to not only stand out in the ever-expanding information landscape but also to effectively convey our messages.
To achieve this, the Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality invites seasoned branding agencies to submit proposals for the creation of a compelling visual identity that encapsulates the Coalition's mission and values.
Objectives:
- Create a distinct and consistent brand and visual identity that effectively communicates the Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality mission, values and commitment to LGBT+ equality.
- Design the materials, elements and usage guidelines that support the created brand and visual identity that seamlessly adapts across various mediums, including print, digital, and promotional materials.
Applicants required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in designing and delivering branding and visual identity concepts.
- Proven track record of delivering successful branding solutions for a wide range of clients.
- Strong project management capabilities to ensure the successful planning and execution of the branding strategy and the development of all related visual elements.
- Basic knowledge of issues in the LGBTQ community, including, discrimination, harassment, homophobia, hate speech.
Key tasks and deliverables:
- Desk review & Initial Consultations: Participate in meetings with the Coalition Secretariat to acquire a deeper understanding of the Coalition's mission, values, and objectives.
- Concept Development: propose creative concepts for the Coalition's logo and visual identity and develop the one chosen by the Coalition.

The tasks will be delivered as follows:
- Feedback and Revisions: present and consult the drafted concepts, incorporate feedback from the Coalition Secretariat and update the selected concept
- Final Concept finalization: Finalize the selected logo and visual identity elements, providing high-resolution files for various applications.
- Brand/visual Identity Manual/Guidelines: Develop a comprehensive manual specifying all brand and visual identity elements, including their description and usage guidelines.
- Presentation: Present the final branding and visual identity concept and support materials to the Coalition Secretariat.
Timeline:
- The project is expected to be completed within 30 working days from the date of contract signing. If the agency requires an extension and can provide substantiated reasons for its necessity, the timeline will be adjusted accordingly.
Submission Requirements:
Applicants interested in submitting proposals should provide:
- Technical proposal listing all requested deliverables details, description and proposed timeline, information and description of experience and company/agency profile, CV(s) of the team members.
- Financial Proposal / Budget covering all aspects of the project, including concept development, revisions, finalization, and brand guideline creation.
- Illustrative portfolio of similar deliverables.
- Copy of the company registration certificate.
- Up to two references (and their contacts).

The Coalition will review the proposals, shortlisting and contacting the potential agencies for further discussion and negotiation.
Contractual Agreements:
- The selected applicant will enter into a formal contract with the Eastern European Coalition for LGBT+ Equality, detailing deliverables, timelines, and payment terms.
