On Monday, September 26th, the Future Empowerment Through Experience (F.E.T.E.) program kicked off with full support from the United States Embassy to Moldova. This eight month program works to provide 30 rural girls, in classes 10-12, From Russian, Romanian and Roma communications throughout Moldova, with the abilities needed to be successful leaders within their communities.
Specifically, this program will focus on providing participants with an accurate working knowledge of how local governments in Moldova should operate and the important role they play in solving community problems. This program will also foster democratic values while empowering particpants with the capacities necessary to guide their communities toward a more democratic future.
The first phase of the program starts with a 5-day workshop during this year’s fall break from school, October 29th – November 3rd. Girls interested in particpating in this program must submit an application by October 10th to fetemoldova@gmail.com. The application and additional information regarding the F.E.T.E.
