Are you a student or civic activist between 18-25 living or working in a non-capital city or village in #Ukraine, #Moldova,  #Georgia?

Have you identified a local problem in your community and do you wish to pilot a local solution that supports the democratic development of your country?

Do you want to have a better understanding of transatlantic relations, 21st century democracy, and cross-country trends amid COVID -19 Pandemic?

Are you interested in meeting young leaders from different countries and finding solutions to common problems?

If these describe you, the project “Empowering Young Leaders in the Time of Pandemic” seeks young participants like you.

By selecting 30 participants from the regions of Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, the project aims to empower young people to take collective action to build resilience and address common problems facing all three societies. During a period of four months, the project will cover monthly thematic sessions with national and international experts and policy-makers on topics related to democracy, transatlantic relations, disinformation, youth activism, and others. Participants will also take part in online capacity building and mentoring sessions aiming on skills development in project design and implementation. After the completion of learning sessions and workshops, participants will have an opportunity to transform their ideas into local projects.

Those interested in implementing a country-wide or cross-border project are eligible to apply for funding within the framework of the project. At the end of the project, participants will discuss small projects at the online event and share their experiences of local leadership and project implementation.

In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project will be held entirely online in Zoom. Knowledge of English is mandatory at least at an Intermediate level (B2).
