Peace Building for Convivial Life TogetherWe welcome you to participate in the new interdiac learning programme. The programme is relevant for people involved in diaconal work, social, community and youth work as well as for pastoral workers and long term volunteers who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in peace building and conflict resolution supporting the core concept of convivial life together in peace with justice. How is the Programme Organised? How is the Programme Organised?interdiac uses a blended learning approach which includesface to face Contact Teaching Workshops with inputs and discussion,practical learning and presentations by participants and practiceperiods which integrate theory with practice. During the periodbetween the workshops, participants reflect on and write about theirpractice, carry out related assignments and may join online learningactivities including group discussions, online lectures and tutorials. The programme is built on the recognition that conflict is very oftenThe programme is built on the recognition that conflict is very oftenbased on issues of identity and power, separately or combined andthat such conflict prevents convivial life together. The programme willintegrate the following approaches to conflict resolution: ● Enhanced communication skills ● Mediation ● Restorative justice ● Dialogical and rights based approach to communitydevelopment The programme will develop Biblical, theological and spiritualresources in relation to conflict resolution and peace building andsupport the core concept of convivial life together in peace with justice. IMPORTANT Update::The deadline for applications is now prolonged till 9th December 2020. Due to the pandemic, the first two Contact Teaching Workshops,in February and June 2021, will be now definitely on-line.In April 2021, we will decide whether the other 2 Contact TeachingWorkshops will be held on-line or face to face.
