LGBTQ+ Rights and Expressions
This Meet U.S. session will focus on the history and current state of LGBTQ+ rights and expressions in the United States. From the Stonewall uprising in 1969 to the Obergefell v. Hodges decision in 2015, and all the way to today there is a rich history in the United States of LGBTQ+ people fighting for their rights. We will discuss some of these key moments and their implications for us today. There is also a rich history of LGBTQ+ expression in the U.S. in art, music, and film. Have you seen the TV series Pose?
