Job title: Legal Counsellor to support the legal assistance to refugees, beneficiaries of temporary protection, and stateless persons in Moldova
Duty station: Rîbnița

Key areas of accountability
- Assist all persons of concern by ensuring timely, high-quality protection information, counseling, assistance, and representation during the administrative stages of the asylum and statelessness procedures.
- Conduct individual and family visits, interviews, and counseling to assess the situation of asylum-seekers, refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection, and stateless persons in practice.
- Refer persons of concern to the relevant state authorities for any available assistance and monitor their access to national social, legal, educational, and medical services.
- Provide expertise to relevant state stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills required:
Academic Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in international law or human rights law.
- Lawyer license would be considered an advantage.
Experience and knowledge:
- Previous work experience in the area would be considered an advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and use of databases.
Competencies:
- Good analytical skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and in crisis situations.
- Cultural and gender awareness.
- Fluency in Romanian, Russian, and English languages.
- Driver license.
