TERMS OF REFERENCE for a professional figure with the role of Field Coordinator

The projects intend to contribute to the improvement of the Moldovan enforcement of human rights especially through judicial procedures. For that reason, is focused on access to justice for vulnerable groups and the full enjoyment of Human Rights for an accountable, inclusive, and fair Moldova judicial system. The main project outcome is to provide legal aid services, monitor the judicial system, and raise awareness to guarantee the full enjoyment of the rights of the most vulnerable people.

2. Work assignment
Field Coordinator: Chisinau, with periodical missions in Balti and Comrat. Area of intervention: Moldavia.

3. Role and responsabilities description
-Plan, coordinate and implement the project activities in the field of legal support for vulnerable groups;
-Formulate project progress reports in relation to the legal support activities;
-Collaborate with the local counterpart in the project activities development;
-Maintain direct and regular communication with the CISS Project Manager based at the headquarter of the organization in Italy for the performance of daily activities and for the resolution of any problems that arise in the implementation of activities;
-File and maintain documentation regarding the project.

4. Contract period
12 months with the possibility of renewal for an additional 12 months.

5. Requirements
- Ability to build good personal relationships and dynamism.
- Intercultural skills and experience with teamwork.
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken is essential.
- Experience in working with NGOs on Human rights and access to justice.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to work under stress, strong problem-solving skills.
- Preference requirement: master's degree in human rights or related disciplines/experience in legal assistance projects is an asset.

6. Remuneration
Payment is based on experience and the organization’s salary scale.
