Job Summary:

As a Local external consultant and evaluator, you will aid achievement of project objectives through expertise and providing technical guidance and advice to staff regarding the process of forestry/tree planting. Your technical skills in the area of forestry and/or soil analysis will ensure that the project in which you are involved will reach its goals and will be a sustainable one.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

• Aid in the process of identification of a land plot for fast-growing trees planting.
• Help identify the best needed tree saplings on the market.
• Advise in the planting and tree-care process.
• Supervise and monitor the growth process of the trees.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in planting fast-growing trees/energetic plantation (i.e. Paulownias).
• Additional education may substitute for some experience.
• Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Required Languages - Romanian and English

Travel - Travel to project sites in Moldova when needed.

• Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented
• Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
• Good technical skills in the area of tree-planting and/or soil analysis

• at least 2 references 
• current employment cannot be in fast-growing tree species sales
