The Opportunity

Plan International started operating in Moldova in March 2022 to support the Government, the UN and humanitarian partners in responding to the arrival of refugees from Ukraine.  Over 500,000 refugees have crossed into Moldova from Ukraine since the start of the conflict and around 100,000 have remained. Plan International Moldova works exclusively through local civil society partners to support vulnerable children, young people, and their families to cope with the impact of the current humanitarian crisis and to increase their resilience.

The Partnerships Manager will work closely with a variety of functions within the Plan International team in Moldova, including, Programmes Specialists, Finance and Business Development, ensuring the implementation of Plan International’s partnership steps and principles. This position includes coordination and liaising with various partners, risk assessments and mitigation measures. This role works with various types of partners, such as: Youth Groups, Civil Society Organisations, Local Organisations, INGOs, UN Agencies, Government Ministries, Private Sector companies and more. 

The Individual will have to-

• Lead and coordinate mapping various active local and international organisations and maintaining a list of Civil Society actors in Moldova
• Lead in the screening and identification of potential partners, who are relevant to the objectives and needs of the Ukraine Response Strategy
• Support the Programme Functions in identifying capacity strengthening areas and co-lead on the development of a mutual capacity strengthening plan
• Lead on the development, review, and signature of Partnership Agreements and amendments
• Support the Programme Functions in partnership start-up workshop planning, preparation, and coordination
• Ensure that mutual capacity strengthening plans are on track and that partnership monitoring tools are being appropriately used for all partners
• Contribute to the operational capacity strengthening of partners, with support from technical specialists
• Regularly evaluate Plan International’s partnership model, approach, and practices by conducting annual partnership surveys or consultations and feeding these learnings into programme design and management
• Document and share best practices, lessons learnt and innovations on partnerships across the organisation
• Ensure that Plan International’s partnership principles are integrated across the work of the Plan International Moldova
