WeWorld Moldova is looking for a Community Center Coordinator
WeWorld is an Italian organization working since 1971 in international cooperation and humanitarian aid. Italian member of ChildFund Alliance, global network for the defense of children's rights and present in 27 countries.
The outbreak of the war in Ukraine has put millions of people at risk: WeWorld took action immediately to provide aid to refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine to find refuge in Moldova. The main sectors of intervention are child protection, psychosocial support mainly to women and children, distribution of hygiene, food and non-food items, and education in emergency, livelihood and social cohesion.
Position title: Community Center Coordinator
Duty station: Chișinău
Starting date: asap

Position Overview:
As the Community Center Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing community engagement and facilitating the center's various programs and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations, oversee schedule, coordinate facility maintenance
- Ensure that necessary resources, equipment and materials are available for activities to run smoothly
- Provide regular reports about the center’s performance, challenges, and successes
- Conduct surveys to identify the changing needs and interests of the community, adapting activities accordingly
- Collect, analyze and approve the reports produced to ensure their compliance with the requirements of the monitoring methodology
- Participate in the planning, coordination and oversee the implementation of activities
- Participate in team working/planning meetings, training and evaluation sessions
- Perform any other duties as requested
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in community engagement, event planning, or program coordination is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative and engaging programs
- Good level of computer literacy
Language skills
Good level of English and Russian. Romanian or Ukrainian are highly desirable
